Who This Site Is For
This site is for the person who knows they should be investing, but every time they try to find out how, they end up more confused than when they started. Financial media is full of jargon, hot takes, and things designed to make investing feel complicated so you’ll pay someone to do it for you. It doesn’t have to be that way.
The fundamentals of long-term wealth building are simple. Invest regularly in low-cost index funds inside a tax-efficient wrapper. Leave it alone. Let time do the work. This site explains how, in plain English, with real UK examples, and without trying to sell you anything except the idea that you can absolutely do this yourself.

A note from the person behind this site
My name is Paul. I started investing later than I should have, paid fees I didn’t need to, and spent too long convinced that it was all too complicated for someone like me. It isn’t. Once I understood the basics, everything became simple. I built No Frills Investing to share that clarity. No jargon, no agenda, just the stuff that actually matters.
The best time to start was ten years ago. The second best time is today.
You don’t need a financial adviser, a spreadsheet, or a perfect moment. You just need to understand the basics and take one small step.
